Write for us

We welcome clear, original pitches that help readers understand cricket: its laws, formats, tactics, roles or the patterns that make a match compelling to follow.

What makes a good pitch

Start with the reader's question, explain the particular point your piece would clarify and show how you would keep it distinct from existing coverage. A focused idea, a proposed structure and a note on relevant experience help us assess the fit; do not send a full draft unless we have asked for one.

The work we seek

Strong contributions explain rather than assume. They use cricket terms carefully, separate rules from opinion, and avoid unsupported claims or recycled match commentary. We are interested in accessible explanations, comparisons and thoughtful accounts of how the game is read.
